Common Questions

Do I need an account?

No. Ignis does not require an account or login.

Where is my journal stored?

Your journal and prayer history are stored locally on your device.

Can I change reminders?

Yes. Open Settings in the app to enable, disable, or change reminder times.

How do I use the Ignatian Pathway?

Open Pathways, choose Spiritual Practice Pathways, then open Ignatian Spirituality. Choose how much time you can give each day, set session times when prompted, then begin the next available session.

How do I use spiritual reading pathways?

Open Pathways, choose Spiritual Reading Pathways, then select the available reading path. Each day gives a reading assignment, reflection prompts, and a prayerful way to apply the text.

Can I decide how long sessions last?

Yes. On the pathway day screen, use This Morning's Session Lengths to decide how long each session should last for the day.

Does Colloquy record my voice or writing?

No. The Colloquy screen gives instructions only. You can speak out loud or write by hand in your own notebook outside the app.

How do I report a bug?

Email davidhillier28@gmail.com with your device model, iOS version, app version, and a short description of what happened.

Ignis is a Catholic prayer companion app. No login is required. To test the Examen, open the app and tap the Examen action on the Today screen. To test pathways, open Pathways, choose either Ignatian Spirituality or Spiritual Reading, begin a day, and complete a session. The app gives users structure for daily readings, Morning Offering, prayer moments, Rule of Life, novenas, guided pathways, and the nightly Examen.
