Getting started

Do I need an account?

No. Ignis does not require an account or login.

Where are my journal and prayer progress saved?

Your journal and pathway progress are stored on your device. They are not synced to an Ignis account, so they may not carry over if you change or replace your device.

How do I choose a calendar or spiritual tradition?

Open Settings using the gear icon. There you can review the Catholic calendar, spiritual tradition and appearance options, including the available regional calendars.

Where can I find the guided pathways?

Open the catalogue using the grid icon, then choose Add a pathway. You can explore the Spiritual Exercises, Magnifica Humanitas, Come, Follow Me, the Rosary, Teach Me to Pray through the Psalms and God in the Ordinary with St Josemaría.

Does Ignis record spoken prayer?

No. Ignis does not record spoken prayer. If you write in the journal or a reflection, that text is stored locally on your device.

Why does Ignis connect to the internet?

Today’s Gospel and reflection are provided by evangeli.net and require an internet connection. Historical readings may use online Scripture services. The Gospel encounter, Rosary, Psalms and God in the Ordinary pathways include their content for offline prayer. Your private prayer reflections and progress stay on your device. Can I resume or restart?

Leaving a pathway session saves your place. The daily Rosary remembers your mystery family and bead. Use the pathway controls to choose a day or restart; your completed prayer history is retained.
